The main focus of the Hitchings Ranch is to produce purebred Beefmaster cattle. It is our goal to generate and maintain the best quality animal. As a premier West Coast Beefmaster breeder, we are constantly striving to improve genetics both in the upgrade program and the purebred program. Both bulls and females are bred to concentrate performance genetics like no other program. The cattle are culled very strictly to the Six Essentials of the breed, and each animal is carefully screened.

The number one standard we live by is raising bulls that will travel over rough terrain to breed. To ensure the best fertility rate possible for your cattle, it is necessary for bulls to be willing and able to travel long distances in any environment. Bulls at Hitchings Ranch are raised in a rocky and uneven pasture to ensure the best muscle, leg, and foot development for a versatile terrain. Because of this, our cattle have a very high fertility rate.

All cattle are dog, horse, four-wheeler and automobile trained and raised.
